Midnight masquerade Open to All.
When: After Midnight
Where: The Rising Sun
Format: Paragraph, action, etc.
What: A special party held at the rising sun. Dorian has told no one what he's celebrating but all drinks are free as long as you come after midnight with the password. and wearing a mask "Layla" is the password
Warnings: EVERYTHING GOES GUYS! PUT WARNINGS IN YOUR SUBJECT LINES IF YOU GET TOO CRAZY!

[ooc; Everyone can tag into the premade threads or make your own thread at the bottom! This is a party post thread, so thread jacking is cool unless otherwise stated. The only room locked in the club is Dorian's office. And if someone pops that lock they will find a half full goblet of blood on his desk, otherwise it is clean.
He has taken care of rides to wherever drunk people need to go too. And lastly; yes there are condoms in the rooms upstairs, if that is something you want. The Password will have be spoken on with an ad about the party a few days beforehand, it does not matter but the password is Layla. Pretty much tag around and have fun guys~! ]

Hello! [He orders a vodka.] No extra berets running around lately?
no subject
Not that I've seen. How about you? Any more guns try jumping at you?
no subject
At least we don't have to pay for them tonight. I might be in trouble for how much I take advantage of it but I've had pretty good luck making it home okay if I spend time with you. [He says it with a friendly smile. If only he smiled better.]
no subject
[Boone offers a small smile back. He doesn't mind how Niko smiles, even if it usually looks meaner than intended.]
Yeah, that's kinda the only reason I'm here. Big parties aren't really my thing.
no subject
Okay, if there was a drinking contest? I could see you in this. Maybe you'd even do pretty good. [He has to teas a little bit.]
no subject
Not gonna happen. Hopefully you're not too disappointed.
[He's just not the type to make a fool of himself like that, even at his drunkest.]
Could see you doing pretty well, too. You ever tried it?
no subject
I don't think we ever remembered who won. But we felt pretty good afterwards. Maybe with drinking contests, there is no winners or losers. Except the bartab.
no subject
[He goes back to his whiskey.]
Think you'd probably beat me, though.
[It's just a hunch, based on how much Niko can put away when they're drinking together. Neither of them have gone past their limits yet, but Boone thinks that's part of why they have a good time. They don't end up sick.]
no subject
[Vowing to make this night a little better, he taps his glass.] Here, I will try to drink just in time so we can keep up with each other. Be the same drunk, without one ahead of the other.
no subject
[Then again, that was before Niko came along. He doesn't generally get wasted on his own in public. The one time he did when he met Niko was a result of him seriously underestimating the strength of what he was being served. He'll either get drunk alone and at home, or with a friend and... well, almost anywhere.]
So... you got any idea what we're actually celebrating?
[Boone doesn't have a clue.]
no subject
Man, you should have seen that fucking creeper when it was hit by lightning!
no subject
[Well, here's to Dorian no longer being on fire. He drains his glass and orders another.]
What was it like? I've never seen it happen.
no subject
The creeper, it lit up. Sparked and cracked. I didn't trust it not to go off, so I shot it down- I would have anyway, but ah, I was worried it would make more of a mess somehow.
[He quickly drains his to catch up, motioning for another to keep pace.] Have you thought of going out and having a look around? Just sticking around the village- that seems like it would get very tiring.
no subject
[Boone nods, looking down at his glass.]
Wanted to check out the desert. Not sure what I'm thinking I'll find there. Guess I just wanna know if it's anything like the Mojave.
no subject
I have been to the desert before. The desert here, anyway. Not the Mohave. [His world has a Mohave, too, but he's never been there.] I do not know if they would compare.
no subject
[He knows that in comparison, this place is a lot better than where he came from. The resort rooms made the Lucky 38 look tired and worn out. The food is good and so is most of the drink, there's way less chance of getting radiation poisoning, and there are less things trying to kill you. Even then, there's a fence keeping most of those things out. Still... the wasteland is all he's ever known. It's familiar. He misses his friends, too. He won't find them in the deserts here, but he wants to look anyway. If only to be in a vaguely familiar environment again.]
Guess I won't know until I go there. Any wildlife I should know about?
[Do spiders and creepers still show up in the desert? He doesn't know if they can only handle certain areas.]
no subject
Don't try to eat spider, though. They're poisonous. [He warns as an aside.]
I get homesick sometimes, too. Even if home turned to shit. I don't miss Liberty City so much, but I miss the mountains.
no subject
[And he wasn't planning on eating the spiders, but maybe Niko is just warning him because he knows he's eaten giant insects before. He likes to think it's a bit different here, where there's always better food readily available. No resorting to bloatfly sliders by a campfire.]
Not sure how to put what I miss into words. Just know I miss stuff. Miss my friends, too.
[He'll miss Niko when he leaves here, too. And he'll probably miss the food and his beast, too. It's still not as friendly as Niko's cat but it's okay company, when it feels like it.]
no subject
I miss my friends, too.
[He thinks of Roman, of Little Jacob. Of Dwayne. He doesn't know where Packie went. But Boone is good, too. He gets it, and that's nice. He doesn't call him and idiot for feeling the way he feels, or a jerk. He even likes how he is.]
What are your friends like?
no subject
[The Mojave has Lake Mead, but purified water isn't always easy to come by when you need it if you're not nearby.
He taps his fingers against his glass as he thinks.]
Well... there's Elle. She was shot in the head on a courier job and left for dead in Goodsprings, but a doctor managed to patch her up. She doesn't remember anything about her life before the shooting, and I met her pretty soon after she recovered. She's... done a lot for me. Done a lot for the Mojave, too. Then there's Veronica, she was with the Brotherhood of Steel. She really likes punching stuff, and she's good at it too. Raul is a ghoul like Charon, he's good with fixing stuff and he's always got some sarcastic comment for everything. Arcade is kinda the same way. He's a doctor, and he's pretty smart. Makes fun of me a lot, but I give as good as I get and I know he doesn't really mean it. Great at lecturing people. Used to drink a lot with Cass, and I'm pretty sure she could drink both of us under the table. She's good to have at your back when things get tough, though.
Lily's a nightkin, and she's kinda like everyone's grandma now. She used to be a part of the Master's army. Guess you wouldn't know what a nightkin is... not really sure how to explain it. Think... about ten feet tall, all muscle, blue skin. She could pick us both up in one hand and throw us across the room without breaking a sweat if she wanted to. She only kills people who deserve it, though. Elle's got this eyebot called ED-E, too. I guess it counts, since it understands us and beeps back. I can't understand it, but Elle can. And then there's Rex, but you know about him.
[All in all, they're... well, one hell of a group. At least you could never say they weren't interesting.]
no subject
[But the bit about Lily? That's when his eyebrows climb. He doesn't know who the Master is- if there's a Master, he's probably an ass, because no one goes by "Master" unless they're made of fuck, and he already has to feel kind of bad for her if she's just a grandma type. A very angry grandma type.]
I'll be sure to be very nice to you. I want your grandma to let me come over and play.
[But, joking aside, it obviously warms him some. And he smiles into his drink just a little, if thoughtfully.] You sound like you have a very good family.
no subject
[He nods at Niko's observation, though.]
Yeah, I have. They're all good people.
no subject
I don't know. Maybe I would actually be happier. But realizing they weren't would always feel like losing him again and again.
[But he tries to shake off that sad thought. It's hard to be sad for any amount of time when you're looking at Boone looking like the military bandito.]
no subject
[But if she didn't take it at all... well, Boone isn't sure what would happen. He only knows that "Leo" is dangerous, and Lily would probably listen to him more without medication.]
She seems okay, though. Like I said, she's sort of everyone's grandma now. We can't replace the people she's lost, and we wouldn't want to, but for now she kinda has a family again. We all do.
[He can't help but sound a little sad at the end there, and he takes another drink. He knows his friends can't replace what he's lost, as much as he cares about them. It's nice to have them around, though. That's the important part.]
no subject
I had this friend, Packie. He is about your size, shaved head even. We-.... we had a lot in common.
He left Liberty City not long before I came here. I miss him. Maybe it would be too hard for us both- Kate was his sister -but he was a good guy. Good to have around. I think we could have helped each other.
