so i'll just keep dreaming, dreaming
Who: Braska & YOU
What: Three open starters and one private one!
(1) Braska's door is always open, whether it's for business or chilling with friends.
(2) He's got a lot of learnings to do, about science and other cultures, so the library in the resort is somewhere Braska spends part of his free time.
(3) Machina used for fun??? OMG. Aka, Braska is entirely tickled by everything Mr. Jellicles has to offer.
(4) Braska and Lindir hang out to share songs and stuff.
When: Over the past week
Where: (1) Full Cure (Braska's shop); (2) the resort library; (3) Mr. Jellicles; (4) wherever Braska and Lindir decide to hang out
Notes & Warnings: Will match you for prose or brackets!
Title + cut text song. Gif involving bright colors and stupid dancing under the cut to make the OP feel less empty. Clickit if you wanna see the source.

01, Full Cure / Braska's shack
The door is, quite literally, open when the weather allows, and in these cases, instead there hangs a doorway curtain depicting either ocean waves or distant mountains. Stepping inside will take you to a main room that serves as a sitting and dining area. There are a couple of other exits leading elsewhere in the house, but given the size of the building on the outside, those rooms can't be very big. There's an obvious preference for warm fabrics in the decorations, and something smells faintly floral, maybe with a hint of morning dew, or freshly cut grass, even though there are no house plants...
There's also an incredibly hideous couch among the furniture. Yes, complete with the green gorilla, who actually now has a friend, a spider stuffed animal from Blackmoon.
Upon approaching Full Cure today, Braska can be found outside tending the garden, or inside tending a mug of tea and reading a book. As ever, he is wearing robes and his heavy-looking headdress.
Either way, he will look up when he hears an approach, and his immediate greeting is a relaxed smile. "Welcome. It's good to see you."
Re: 01, Full Cure / Braska's shack
Once in a while, though, he straightens the stuffed gorilla and spider one the couch.
After doing so, still carrying the duster almost as big as he is, Wander sits down near the reading Braska. The past few days have been stressful with the attack of the Creepers, and working at Full Cure is a welcome break from that.
After several minutes of relaxing, he turns to Braska. "Whatcha readin' there?"

He doesn't even seem to mind at all when Wander speaks up. He just turns that smile back to him while he turns the page. "This? Oh, it's quite exciting, actually. A story of adventure from another world."
no subject
"What kinda world is it?" He moves a sofa pillow on his lap and rests his elbows on it, eyes wide on Braska and still holding the duster. "What do the trees look like? Is it a warm planet?"
He'd much rather visit unknown worlds, but fictional ones can be just as good.

The color combination is one of his favorites, actually.
"That does sound like the perfect place to have a feast," he says.

01, Full Cure / Braska's shack
"I've been looking for you."
She's short in person: a few inches over five feet, and waxy-pale with sharp, narrow shoulders.
no subject
"How can I help you?" he asks. He saves his place in his book with a ribbon and setting it aside, then gets to his feet.

She sets a hollow purple crystal on his book. It whispers, subtly, and something smoky can be seen moving within.
"Know what this is?"
no subject
"No, I don't. What is it?"
no subject
She rummages in her bag and pulls out her translator, sets it beside his book. Explaining what it does is not something she wants to try in Standard.

04, for Lindir
Braska is in the little kitchenette, attending to the tea. He's got a little plate set out for snacks -- nothing fancy, just a few sliced vegetables from his garden and some cheese and crackers. He doesn't immediately notice any change in his company.

Goodness. I'm sorry, I didn't notice you. Welcome, welcome. Make yourself comfortable.
no subject
It's quite all right. I did not wish to disturb you while you were at work.
[After a moment it's clear that this Elf's idea of "comfortable" meant standing ramrod straight with arms crossed behind his back.]

[In this moment, with Lindir's silent insistence on staying where he is, standing as he is, Braska finds himself reminded of Auron. It's almost surreal. Braska's smile becomes pained as he sets the plate on a small table nearer to the doorway.]
How has your day been? [Smalltalk, smalltalk.]
no subject
I am well, though I have not done much except for take a walk through the gardens. Have you seen them?

02, the library / the resort
Or, you know. Not, in the case of many of these books written by stranger races. But Braska reads them all the same, some for the entertainment, some for his curiousity about how these different peoples think.
So, today, Braska can be found curled up in a chair with a stack of books piled on a table next to him. Or, he can be found perusing the shelves, a collection of books growing in his arms. Or, he can be found giggling to himself, bent over a book at a table.
03, Mr. Jellicles / the arcade
Braska loves it.
He doesn't know why he hasn't visited this place before. He's very glad that he went on his little expedition today. Originally, he was just going to go deliver some vegetables to the family of one of his patients, but on his way back home, he decided to take a detour, and... Wow. Wow, wow, goodness, wow.
Congratulations, whoever so happens to be visiting Mr. Jellicles on this very day. Because you get to witness Braska trying very hard to play some alien version of Dance Dance Revolution. He's even holding his robes up so he doesn't trip himself on them with one hand; the other is trying to keep his headdress from falling off. And if he notices that he's losing horribly at the game? He doesn't seem to care at all. He's bright-eyed and laughing all the same.
Re: 03, Mr. Jellicles / the arcade
The DDR machine grabs his attention first, and wait, that is an actual DDR machine and he can dance on it. He digs into his hat to take out a handful of coins, hopefully enough to play a few times. Only until he runs up to it does he notice Braska is the one currently dancing. Sure, he looks a bit ridiculous, but he looks like he's having fun.
"Braska! Didn't expect to run into ya here! Mind if I join you for the next round?" He's already hopped onto the machine next to him and readies the coin in his hand. He may or may have not squealed a bit when he held the coin next to the slot.

Once Braska's game ends, he leans over, laughing and trying to catch his breath. After a moment, he straightens again, offering Wander a bright smile. "I didn't know there were machina as delightful as this."
no subject
"Hey," he says once he stops dancing. "Mind if I go run for some water for ya? We can do another game after this!"

He pushes against the flap to grab the bottle, but it doesn't move. Wander shrugs it off, he probably needs to use more force. That doesn't work.
"These managers should learn to make these not so heavy," Wander mutters to himself, leaning against the flap, putting his entire weight on both hands. The flap opens, if only a crack small enough to fit his hand through. But one he slides a hand down, the crack slowly disappears.
There goes Braska's water. What is he supposed to do now, ask someone else for help? Wander takes a sweep around the hall. Asking Braska for help would be out of the question, but there's no one else here at the moment, and Wander has no idea where the employees are.
