Her attention shifts to Niko in confusion. It did not sound overly appetizing.]
It is human food then? It sounds... without taste.
no subject
I... oh... It matters not to me.
[With Niko's help he finds his way inside the vehicle, though he's still visibly flustered.]
no subject
Don't worry. Sandwiches come with lots of other things that can make them taste good.
[Though now he has this strange mental image of elves having to sample ketchup and mustard and mayonnaise and he wonders what it is that he's gotten himself into.]
[He starts driving, and unfortunately for them he still goes a bit fast even if he can't go Liberty City fast. And those corners are sharp. Thankfully for not having wheels these things handle like dreams.]
no subject
[Niko's driving very nearly soberedher up as the second he took the first corner, she was frantically grabbing for handholds of any kind, including Lindir if necessary.]
Mandos!

Okay, before we get food I really need to drop off some money. [He is a little nervous to explain why. He thinks they already know what this place is, and he's a little embarrassed for some people to know he visits here but he's not planning on doing anything tonight and for once his intentions are completely chivalrous.]
[He pulls up outside the bright brothel and parks. He starts to unbuckle.] I'll be right back out. I'm giving the money and that's it.
no subject
I am... alive. [She glanced to Lindir to see if he was alright.] And you Lindir have you survived?
[And then the bright lights get her attention as she peers out at the brothel.]
What is that place?
no subject
...I am unharmed.
[He sounds genuinely surprised. He takes a deep breath then follows Tauriel's gaze.]
no subject
[And he hesitantly looks over his shoulder at the place, um. How does he answer that. What's the polite thing to say here?]
It's ah-
[hrm.]
It's not important. I'll go in, drop off the cash, and be right back out. [And he rushes off to attend to that. He doesn't want to keep them waiting.]

In Sindarin:]
We must go! I fear for our lives - he is reckless!
no subject
[Problem is there are a lot of pretty blue ladies here and he doesn't remember her name.]
no subject
She reached over to Lindir and pressed his button, freeing him from the harness as well, before finally replying to him also in sindarin:]
We are not dead yet. We may yet live. But I am curious about where it is he has gone. What is that place?
[As luck would have it, her fiddling popped open the door and grinning to herself, she stepped out of the car, moving aside so Lindir could do the same.]
no subject
We should leave! I care not about this place. He may have led us into danger!
no subject
Hey, I uh... I overheard you talking and I thought maybe I could help...
[He's a little embarrassed now, but reminds himself that he has people in the car that he has to get back to. He starts patting himself down, searching for the card full of emerald credits to give her. Oh please don't let him have left it in the car- OH! There it is, thank god.]
[His back is to the door and he's towards the middle of the main room. At least he's visible, even if it's a little busy with the celebration.]
no subject
[She had walked close to the front doors by then, throwing caution to the wind since she was mostly sober (thanks to the drive over here). Turning she motioned Lindir to follow, afraid he might be hurt if he lingered to long on the street alone.]
Come Lindir, lets go look for Niko!
[And with that she went inside.]

[But then he hears someone behind him go That's a funny looking Romulan comin' in.]
[Niko turns hard away from her, and she takes the money and goes. He has this odd feeling of dread. He said he would be right out! That can't be who he thinks it is coming in.]
[There's a lovely plant woman, the mistress of the brothel, already near the doors because the sounds of surprise were enough to draw her attention. And people are already getting in Niko's way. Shit shit! He can't be sure now. He has to make his way over there.]
no subject
The music of course was also loud and distracting to her ears, which added to the sensory overload she was experiencing. The Romulan reference went right over her head so she ignored it as she started walking into the brothel, gradually becoming more and more aware that a lot of attention was being directed her way.
She was also still tipsy enough that the music was beginning to appeal to her as it sounded completely unlike anything she had heard before. The beat added to a certain swagger to her step. Meanwhile she had completely forgotten about Lindir]
no subject
It was loud and overwhelming. Unlike Tauriel, Lindir wasn't particularly fond of this music. As for the sights... well. Not at all what he expected, but he can't stop looking. He splutters, trying to speak, but no actual words are coming out of his mouth.]
no subject
[One turns to shove at him.]
[He shoves back on reflex.]
[And the bouncer steps in to break them up before it escalates. Which means that Niko loses a few steps. So he calls out.] Lindir! Tauriel! Срање! You didn't throw up in the rover did you? Why are you in here?
[Though unfortunately some of that is lost over the sound.]
no subject
As she was looking for him, she heard Niko... sort of, or at least she thought she did. It was really hard to make out much of anything as the music seemed permanently amped up to ll. ]
Lindir, hurry if you can, I do not think you wish to be lost.
[The Klingons have her on edge as well since they looked a little like what might happen if an orc and a dragon bred. Wanting to find him as soon as possible, s he began working her way through the crowd, using her natural grace to worm her way past people to where she thought Niko was.]
Niko? Where are you my friend!
[It was just as she made her way clear of the press of aliens staring at her, and the klingons, that she saw the pole dancers. Both Niko and Lindir were forgotten then as she watched the women, again in various states of undress using the poles to complete acts of physical dexterity.]
no subject
[Lindir hurries to catch up, not wanting to be separated. However, just as he's a few feet behind her, two scantily clad women had gently taken a hold of his arms from either side.
He's frozen in place, especially because one of those ladies was green, and Lindir had to fight with himself to speak intelligible words.]
I... no, I'm not a Romulan...? What are...?
no subject
I'm over here! I'm coming, just give me a moment.
[He has to cross around one of the center room stages, a round thing where a girl is dancing, to try and get to them. Unfortunately it's about her turn to collect her emeralds and be off. Which leaves that pole, briefly, unoccupied. And Niko's held up by a Krogan this time, one trying to make conversation because he knows him (as much as giant angry looking horny toads can make conversation).]
no subject
Naturally she was inclined to move away from them vowing to apologize fully to Lindir when they were not both attracting attention. She heard Niko's voice, on the other side of the stage. To Tauriel, it's just an obstacle so she hops up onto it, much to the sudden cheer (and a few jeers) of the patrons.
The unoccupied pole certainly has her attention. Tipsy as it is, she suddenly wonders if she can do the same things the dancer had been doing annnnnd thus decides to give it a try. It after all had looked fun, and it certainly was a challenge....]
