Ask who? [She tilts her head confused, having never heard of that term before and thus having no knowledge of who or what that is.]

No I intend to take to them the idea of simpler things. Things to make life better without causing all who see it to go to war for it. Things that all people will wish access to. Hot and cold water for one and a device that allows words to be placed upon a page so that it does not have to be copied by hand.

The humans. Specifically those from Earth. "Terra" is a common alternative name for their home planet, as is "Sol 3."

[Which makes him wonder... Was her planet an alternate Earth? A lost human colony?]

Where do your humans come from?

Ah. I wonder why it is they call it Terra or this sol 3. Does it mean it have three souls?

[She shrugged,] They were made by Eru to inherit the world after us once we have established the world for them. They were his second creations.

[Narvin sniffs in a short and quiet laugh.]

The system's primary star is called "Sol" and their planet is the third planet from the center. Hence, Sol 3. "Terra" comes from one of the Earth languages, and simply means "land."

[But her explanation of where humans comes from...his head tilts, eyebrow slowly goes up.]

Who is Eru? Some geneticist? [That is the only way he can make rational sense of the humans being "made."]

[Ah. Well humans have never been considered an overly creative lot with words. They lacked the poetry of her people. His question about Eru caused her to perk up. She knew that there were other creation myths and other world origins, so she was not surprised that her god had not been heard of.]

He is Eru Ilúvatar, the creator of all things. He was the one who fashioned our world from the chorus of his Ainur... Or at least that was what we were told when I was a child.

Ah. Superstition. [He sniffs. Like most Time Lords, he's a bit suspicious of religion, and in addition, as an individual he's not a very spiritual person.]

Although I must say that's the first time I've heard a myth where someone else was the chosen people. Usually these sorts of things are used to claim that they are this god's or that god's favourite.

[She isn't going to argue the religion of her people since it's technically older than the sun and moon of her world or even the stars themselves... in her mind at least.]

It is said that our fate is bound to Arda and that we are not allowed to leave it, even in death until the world is remade. Humans on the other hand venture beyond where even Eru himself knows...

[She gives a little shrug.]

All that I know is that my religion has remained for thousands of years if it is entirely true or not I cannot say. I am neither the oldest nor wisest of my kin.
