Age matters not to my kind. I was much the same in my youth.
[A pause.]
Music, mostly. I favor the harp, though I cannot play.
no subject
The harp is lovely, isn't it? I have to admit, I've always had a fondness for flutes and pipes myself. I'm not a player myself, either. [wryly,] My peers had to endure quite enough of my musical "talents" when I was growing up. I don't do more than attempt to sing the Hymn, these days.

For the Eldar energy does not wane, but perhaps temperament and desires do.
[He smiles a little as the other speaks of music.]
My mother was an excellent harpist and singer. I do miss her songs.

Guess who's been reading poetry books from the library?] I must admit... I'm a little jealous, and, at the same time, grateful. One of my few memories of my mother is the way she sang the Hymn of the Fayth. The Eldar... [Now, where has he heard that before -- ?] Ah, so you're of the same people as Sir Tauriel, then?
no subject
Our peoples are distant kin, yes, though she hails from the Woodland Realm, and I am of Imladris.
[The talk of songs and music was interesting to him, so speaks once more of the earlier topic.]
If I may ask, what sort of song is the Hymn of the Fayth?
no subject
Ah, the Hymn is... [... how does he even begin to explain it?] A song of hope, I suppose would be the most accurate way to describe it. [He grins.] Some would call it a song of the faithful, but I've known those who do not follow Yevon's teachings who sing it all the same. I don't believe there's a soul on Spira who does not know it.
...ty for not making me go through it now omg. /hugs
[As for the other subject.]
Songs have a way of bringing hope, whether they are of faith or not. We Eldar have our own hymns, but also more ordinary tunes. The Sindar are particularly gifted with fair voices for song.
LOL, i do not envy you in the slightest. u tolkien guys, u nuts. all of u.
The Hymn of the Fayth can soothe even the most troubled of souls. At least, that held true on Spira. I can't say I've tried the same, here, I suppose in a mix of feeling it hasn't been needed and fretting it wouldn't be as helpful.
I knooooww >>;
One day, perhaps we can share songs with each other. Though, I would rather it be in private. I would rather not put myself on display for an audience.

Perhaps after the celebration has calmed down, we could get back in touch and arrange something.
no subject
I... yes, that would be best.
[He turns back.]
I stay here, in the resort. My name is Lindir, should you wish to find me.

Braska pays them no mind, and bows his head to go along with his introduction.] I am Braska. I live in the town. I will contact you once the celebration is done and settled.

A star shines on the hour of our meeting, Braska. I look forward to meeting with you again.
