[She laughed a little, starting to feel just a touch of the alcohol hitting her system. It wasn't enough to even call tipsy, but it made her amused as she leaned over and tapped his tablet.]

Yes that can show moving pictures, but so can the display on your wall in the hotel room.

[She paused to look at his tablet, wondering if it was defective as Lindir seemed to continue having problems with it.]

You haven't been accidentally hitting the off button have you?

[Lindir holds up the tablet and demonstrates how he uses it. It looks like he just keeps hitting the wrong things or sliding the wrong way.]

But it's no matter, my preference is to see things with my own eyes.

[With an empty glass, Lindir mulls over the thought of getting another, then decides that since the first had done no harm, neither could a second...]

[Tauriel lets him order the next round and then the round she picks up after that. This goes on for quite some time until both of them are far beyond the slightly tipsy and well and truly on their way to getting blasted.

She of course is a happy go lucky drunk and is even more happy and go lucky and three times more impulsive. Once already she had pried herself away from the bar to start dancing as she had seen people do in a music video. Thankfully this was rather tame dancing but it was starting to attract the attention of other patrons who would be more than happy to dance with the Elf. After having to send away one too many people interested in her, she collapsed against Lindir and tilted her head towards the door]

I think we should depart, yeah?

[By now Lindir is fighting back tears. Left alone with his drink while Tauriel danced, he thought fondly of Imladris, and wondering how he came to be in this situation.]

Y-yes. I wish to return...

[He wished to return to Imladris, and not just the resort, though, and the thought causes the tears to spill over into his nearly empty glass. He put it on the counter and wipes his eyes with his sleeve.]

[Seeing him cry caused her to come back to the bar.]

Mellon nin nothing keeps you here... if you wish to go you can.

[She is thinking the resort because why wouldn't he be able to go to Imladris if he wanted to?]

[He shakes his head sadly.]

I cannot. My Lord Elrond has asked me to be here and so I must. He will send word when he wishes for me to return...

[Oh, he meant the resort in general and not just the bar.]

Come, surely we can cheer you up so you are not as home sick, yes? Would you like to see some place happy maybe?

[Lindir nods a little with his eyes downcast, like an unhappy child.]

...A distraction may be best.

Well then shall we explore the town... and perhaps see what it is our there for us to explore. Maybe we will come across another garden or something equally entertaining.

[She stands and offers her hand to Lindir. As she is well on her way to being drunk, her speech is not exactly sparkling at this point.]

[Lindir wouldn't normally have taken her hand as they were not close, but being inebriated relaxed him enough to do so, despite the tears. He was surprised to find his movements a touch unsteady, so he was a good thing he did, just to keep balance. It takes him a moment to sort out her words, but when he does he replies;]

I would not wish to go far... but I would be glad to find a fountain or stream to ease my troubles.

[Niko isn't a drunkard. He's been careful to avoid drinking so much that he would become one (considering the sort of man his father was), but he's also no stranger to public inebriation. That's why it's a little odd to find himself walking by them completely sober, and dressed fairly respectably, too, in somber three piece pinstripe suit that actually fits him and isn't rumpled.]

[His destination? Not so respectable. But the elves have been okay by him. And seeing them in a state where they might be prone raises his concerns.]

Hey, are you two alright? [He asks as he's going by, slowing so that he can come over and help if he needs.]

[Tauriel had been doing her best to steer Lindir about while keeping to some level of decorum between them-- It wasn't working too well. So it took her a moment to realize that it was Niko who was speaking to her. He was looking good in a suit, even if the idea of a suit itself was still a strange to her.]

Mae govannen! Err th-that is well met Niko. You are looking pointy! [She meant sharp.]

We are looking to cheer up Lindir here he is missing home and in need of dis- traction.

[Lindir wipes his eyes once more and tries to straighten up to look more composed. It's not very convincing.]

..Well met.

[Said unenthusiastically.]

[Pointy? He looks down at himself. Then he shrugs with acceptance and a brief smile. That's probably a compliment. And they look like they're about three swigs away from sauced.]

You two look like you're having some trouble getting around. I can go get one of the museum cars. I'm allowed, I'm a guide. [He doesn't even have to steal it. It's exciting. It's like when he could borrow cars off his cousin.] Lets do that, okay?

Mae govannen- that is hello?

[Tauriel just smiles all the more warmly as she leans against Lindir forgetting for the moment, forgetting that they barely know each other.]

But that won't be fun, will it Mellon nin?

[She is used to getting into trouble with Legolas and keeps forgetting Lindir is not her long time friend.]

Yes, yes it is a greeting of my people!

[Drunk!Lindir doesn't even notice the strangeness of the familiarity. Fun wasn't usually a word the Elf associated with himself, really, but something inside him was willing to try.]

I may like that. I am unsure... but where shall we go?

As long as he doesn't throw up. You're not looking so hot there, friend. [He motions to Lindir, who seems like he's just mustering the will to understand anything.]

Give me a moment, I'll be right back. I have to make a quick stop and then I'll take you to get some food on your stomachs. It helps you sober up.

[And with that he jogs off to get a rover, vaguely wondering if he's going to have to teach an elf to use a safety belt.]

He is fine, I am sure of it! [Actually, she wasn't. I her less than sober state, she kept thinking it was Legolas who was off getting drunk with her. She missed her friend suddenly, but did not fault Lindir for not being him.]

We won't move. I promise... unless it's a little to the left.

[Tauriel watched Niko jog off, hoping he'll come back soon, since she didn't know how much longer she and lindir could wobble abut safely. While Niko was gone, she turned to wards Lindir, looking puzzled.]

You.. think he shall return soon?

[Lindir is no Legolas at holding his drink - not by a long shot, no archery puns intended. Thankfully though, he's not about to be sick anytime soon.]

He said as much, did he not?

[The steward pulls away and turns aside, looking to the left, and almost ready to take a step.]

What is it that is left of us that is so interesting? Shall we go there?

[One thing that Niko misses about tires? That fun little screeching sound they make when they stop. The rover comes hovering up near them, pulling up to the sidewalk. He gets out so that he can open up the back door.]

Ladies [said more like "lehdees"] and gentlemen your ride has arrived. I don't remember the fancy word for thing pulled by horses but maybe we are bad people for metaphors today.

I think we should... oh I don't know it looks pretty.

[Inebriated as she was, telling Lindir no was the furthest thing from her mind so she had stepped over towards him when Niko pulled up in the rover. She gestured towards the place that Lindir had spotted, with perhaps even more curiosity than he had.]

What is that place can we go, is it safe?

[Lindir looks to Niko when he pulls up, but then back over to the left when Tauriel looks there.]

I do not know...

Niko nods to the back door. Come on. It'll be fine. As soon as we drop some food off I'll help find a place- a sandwich place? How about that. There is more chance you can pick whatever you want.

[He is going to have to do the safety belt thing, isn't he? This is something he's never had to do before. Well, when they get in he'll patiently help them get them on. ]

[Tauriel clambers into the rover with as much dignity and grace as she can muster. to a normal person it might look like she barely is suffering from the effects of the alcohol, but to another silvan elf, her movements are sloppy].

What is a sandwich? Why do you eat sand? Is it a food from another world?

[Lindir follows behind... and may have just elbowed Tauriel's behind. He backs up quickly and nearly falls out of the rover.]
